Hey Splitfam, welcome to our first Community Update where each week we’ll be recapping news you may have missed, highlighting your creations, and letting you know about upcoming community events. Let’s get right to it.

What’s New?

In our third Splitgate Weekly video, our Lead Game Designer Darek shared a preview of some upcoming balance changes as well as some perspective on his approach to balance in Splitgate 2. Make sure to share your own takes on game balance in the comments after hearing from him. Our team is still heads-down on a long list of fixes and improvements which you’ll be hearing more about soon.

We’re also continuing our regular player surveys and would greatly appreciate you taking the time to complete this week’s SG2 survey. It won’t take long, we promise.

MVP Spotlight

This week we’re spotlighting our MVP OmnicientWolf and asked him a few questions about him and his content!

Q: How did you first get into Splitgate? I first got into Splitgate during the peak period where you had to often wait 3 hours in a login queue to get in due to the influx of players wanting to get in!  As a Halo fan, the idea of “Halo with portals” attracted me, and then once I started getting the hang of the portals, I was hooked!

Q: How would you describe the content you make? I mostly stream and create content around Splitgate 2 gameplay, whether that be messing around in socials or getting sweaty in ranked.  That being said, I also dabble in educational content, especially if I have a question that I’m trying to get to the bottom of myself!  I’m a strong believer in sharing your knowledge with people, so if that’s something that I can do, then hey, sign me up.

Q: What modes do you play most often? I’m definitely a 4v4 guy first and foremost.  I enjoy both social and ranked arena modes, so it really depends on what I’m feeling and who’s playing with me at the time.  In terms of specific playlist modes, I’ve always been a Team Deathmatch kind of guy, although I do enjoy Hot Zone quite a bit!

Q: Where can people find you to check out your content? My most active platforms are Twitch and Twitter (or X, if you will).

Currently, I stream 3 days a week, Tuesdays – Wednesdays – Thursdays starting at 9 PM ET.

Q: Is there any content you’ve made that you’d like to highlight?

One of my first videos on Splitgate 2 was “3 Beginner Tips in 3 Minutes for Splitgate 2”

Q: Anything else you'd like to say to the community? I don’t think Arena Shooters get enough love in today’s day and age, so I do hope that the community can rally together and help shape Splitgate 2 to be the best that it can be.
